Objects and furniture where 3D technology, craftsmanship and sustainability come together to create pieces with soul.
Design with meaning
Voleana, the border between two worlds
For years, 3D printing and craftsmanship have been seen as separate worlds. We connect them. Technology and sustainability, precision and warmth, innovation and consciousness.
We create contemporary designs with a responsible soul. Because the future can and should be consistent with nature.
Today, 3D printing technology allows us to work with sustainable materials: plant-based biopolymers, reclaimed wood, clay, ceramics, and other compounds that can be recycled. These materials reduce environmental impact and open up new possibilities for form and design.
And craftmanship remains our focus.
Technology brings precision and creative freedom; the eye and the artisan's hand lend warmth, discernment, and soul. Together, they make possible pieces that are both innovative and relatable.
“We believe in a future where technology does not distance people from the earth, but rather brings them closer together.”
A hybrid studio
At Voleana Studio we don't settle for choosing between craftsmanship and technology. We've learned to walk the border to create a dialogue between code and pottery, filament and wood, algorithms and the expert eye. And we do it with one obsession: that every piece that leaves our workshop can tell its story: where it comes from, who made it, what impact it has and why it will last.
Working with local artisans connects us to the traditions and economy of our region. Incorporating 3D technology allows us to explore geometries that challenge the senses. Using sustainable materials reconnects us with the planet.
Because we believe that the future of design will not be solely digital, nor solely artisanal. It will be hybrid. And we want to be its architects.
Welcome to Voleana Studio
This is our mantra
-
The form that embraces the meaning.
Designing isn't decorating. It's making coherent decisions. Decisions about form, materials, light, and texture. Decisions about what story this piece will tell ten years from now. We seek beauty that connects with both the viewer and the user.
-
The hands que que possible.
Behind every piece are people. Cabinetmakers, glassmakers, potters, basket weavers, metalworkers. Crafts that cannot be programmed or automated. Controlled imperfection, a warm touch, an expert eye: this is what separates a living piece from an industrial one.
-
Precision at the service of imagination.
3D printing technology allows for impossible geometries, lightweight structures, and optimized materials. But it's not an end in itself, it's a means to an end. And today, the filaments we use for printing are biodegradable: derived from agricultural waste, organic materials, and reclaimed wood. Machine and earth working together.
-
Beauty without cost to the planet.
Sustainability is not a slogan. It is a design criterion. We select traceable materials, publish the carbon footprint and design things to last long. In a world that pushes us to replace, we want to accompany.
-
We explain everything. We don't hide anything.
We publish the carbon footprint of every piece. We explain where each material comes from, who worked with it, and how long it will last. We don't want you to trust us just because we say so; we want you to trust us because you can verify it. Trust isn't proclaimed, it's demonstrated.
